Management is both an art and a science with a target to organize a group of individuals to accomplish a desired goal. It is the art of making people work efficiently as a team and the science of figuring out how to do it through planning, organizing, leading and monitoring. With the pressures and demands facing business managers, many companies are seeking those who are organized and educated with good communication, delegation and leadership skills.
The Bachelors of Science Degree Program in Business Management introduces students to functional areas of management and provides breadth in many areas of business; management, human resources, business software/information systems, business law, and finance.
The business management curriculum emphasizes a balance of real-world practice and academic theory by integrating lectures, group discussions and practical hands-on training. Case studies are used frequently to illustrate how and where business concepts learned in the classroom are implemented throughout the business world, which provides students a way to measure their applied studies. The courses are structured for students to learn the proficiency necessary to effectively and constructively contribute to the business community. Objective of the program:
A Capstone Senior Project provides student the opportunity to gather and apply ideas and concepts learned throughout the curriculum.
