Students are assigned to one of 51 Programmable Logic Controller stations where they learn to program real world simulations. Labs are equipped with Allen Bradley Micrologic 1000 PLC units, motor starters, Emergency switches, Timers, relays and panels and each station is equipped with computers loaded with RS Logix Programming software used to upload programs on to the PLC units.
To gain experience with and an understanding of PLC units and ladder logic concepts such as logic gates, latches, interlocks, addressing, timers, and counters.
Traffic light programming, Garage control, Batch and Silo automation, and other projects to learn PLC and I/O programming techniques and automation.
